Youth Leadership Program

         

New United Missionary Baptist Church is delighted to announce our 2023Youth Leadership Program! This program has been purposefully planned and designed according to Toastmasters International by our local sponsors, Blue Masters Toastmasters Club,  Chatter Masters Toastmasters Club and TVA Blacks In Government

 

New United Youth Leadership Program is designed to develop the speaking and leadership skills of teenagers, ages 13 - 18. By developing these skills, they will be better prepared to meet the demands and challenges of today’s world.

 

The program includes  six weekly sessions and a closing banquet to showcase the participants’ new skills. Sessions are conducted as a meeting and participants learn:

 

• How to prepare, organize, and present speeches

• How to conduct meetings

• How to evaluate and achieve effective listening skills

• How to speak on a topic without prior planning

 

By the end of the last session, participants will have developed self-confidence and interpersonal communication skills they will use for the rest of their lives. The instruction and participant material are free.
